Two Stories of Remodeling

Description and photos of remodeled home at 306 Mark Hannah Place, Ann Arbor, Michigan, by Acheson Builders. Celebrating 50 years of remodeling and new home building.

It takes creative thinking to conceive of a 2-story addition as a solution for expanding and transforming an existing kitchen and sunroom, which adds a mudroom with bench and cubbies where there is none, AND envision a Master Suite in the newly created second floor space.

Conceiving and dreaming stuff up is all well and good, the Artists’s Eye and such, but someone has to plan out and execute the physical manifestation. That is where the Acheson Builders also has an edge. The Craftsman’s Touch, as it were. Remodelers can be as imaginative as Hollywood set designers, but this is not the movies. These are real homes that people live in. The “stuff” must be practical and livable and must stand up to everyday use for years and decades.

Creative thinking? We’ve got that! Plenty of creativity and years of experience that help us design ideal uses for spaces, make choices that work with YOUR home style, fit well on the property, and achieve YOUR intended goals. In this Mark Hannah Place, Ann Arbor home, the owners needed a bigger kitchen and an additional bathroom for the Second floor. Jim Acheson and his talented team found it a great pleasure meet these needs and make everything beautiful in the process!
